Succulent Nursery
FFAQ....
(wishing all our customers a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2010. It's
that time of giving & forgiving...)
Succulents are now the
future plants for the drought tolerant country....They requires little water.

The more you water the fast it grows and propagates. But, if you do not
water it often, it will still survive. (this excludes cacti)
Many of them grows into large rosettes, turning into a garden feature plant.

Succulents are drought tolerant plants
that can grow every where outdoors and even indoors. You can dip
some of them into a vase of water and it will still survive well.
Some of them grown in desert areas requiring minimal amounts of water.
This adaptation includes a method of storing and preserving water
for lean times. This usually consists of thickened, fleshy leaves, stems
and roots.

Some succulents grows faster if you
wanter them more. -
Succulent plants require the basics
of water and light. Some are able to survive without watering for
weeks; some succulents are able to gather water during the morning dew or
fog.
-
They grow in well drain soil but will survive in most soil
types.
-
Propagation with succulent is easy.
They can be grown from leaves or stem cuttings, broken pieces, adjoining
babies or offsets, grafting and seeds.

What
do you do when you receive your succulent plants?
Spray or sprinkle water over the succulent plants, especially the roots or the tip
of the stems.Cut the tip of the stem off before planting. (ie for cuttings
only)Plant & water
them asap with potting mix (well drain soil will be better if you water often).Ensure a good depth of the cuttings or roots of the plants are fully covered
with soil when planting.Regular watering is required twice a week, until the
plant is settled. This might take a few days depending on the type of
plant.Do not put them under hot direct sunlight until the plant is well
established. This can take up to 1-2 weeks, as new roots will grown by then.
Most of them will grow well in semi shaded areas.
