..... RealPlayer Help Guide - Common problems we've been able to fix:

To see and hear our Live Broadcasts and On-Demand Clips, you will need a version of RealPlayer on your computer.

I Can't connect to your broadcast/On-demand clip. - What's wrong?
First, Click here to see if your Realplayer will play audio and video.
If YES, go back and try the Live Stream or File!
If NO then try this:
A - In the 'View' menu, click 'Preferences' then 'Connection' and set it to
- '56k modem' or better , and to 'buffer at least 10 seconds' before playing (NOT entire clip!)
If NO, then:
B - See the Real Networks Help guide, located on your player.
C - Consult someone about your potential multimedia playback problem.

I STILL Can't connect to your broadcast/On-demand clip! - What's wrong now?
Open RealPlayer. In the 'File' Menu, click 'Open Location' and type in this:
http://www.ballarat.net.au/big/rm/test/med_q.ram
OR
http://www.ballarat.net.au/big/ratnet_live.ram (if we are broadcasting)
Click OK. You should now be connected!

I was watching before, and now I can't connect again. What's wrong?
1. We may have stopped streaming due to a computer glitch - back soon!
2. We have a limited number of 'connections', and our RealServer may be full!
To find out, send us a quick email, and we'll tell you.
3. You have may have 'Internet congestion' problems through your I.S.P.

The Live Stream/On-demand clip keeps 'cutting out'. What's Wrong?
If you are using a 33.6k Modem, you will recieve a slower rate of video transmission than those watching with a 56k modem or better. Dont surf the web, or have heaps of applications open when watching a live broadcast.
This chews up your bandwidth and processing power on your computer. Try running just the Player and your Internet browser. RATNET reccommends you use a FAST ISP connection for best results. (high speed tests are underway soon!!)

Can I hassle or communicate with THE RATNET TEAM??
YES!!! - This is an interactive experience - if you can't watch our Broadcast, WE WANT TO KNOW! - EMAIL US!!!

How do I contact The RATNET TEAM?

Chat Rooms
We will join the Chat Room during and after the broadcast. Wait around for a while if you can't see anyone else in the Chat room, straight away. People are always coming in for a look, and depending on how smoothly things are going, we will chat with you about the broadcast, what's coming up, and things to watch for!

We believe that Internet broadcasting should be highly interactive, and we encourage people to pose questions and requests to the performers, hosts and Live Internet Broadcasting crew for each event.
